Welcome to our very last Abomi Spotlight! Meet our final Abomi, Ostriseis, whose name I'm way too proud of.
Ostriseis is an ostrich with its head perpetually buried in the sand. It's so used to it that Ostriseis balances its entire body on its neck and digs underground to move around. As you can see from the picture, Ostriseis occasionally pokes its beak out from underground to intimidate or attack its foes. Ostriseis can have the ability Buried, which boosts the power of grounded attacks like Rumble and Burrow.
Not only is Ostriseis my final reveal, but it was the final Abomi I conceptualized, animated, and implemented. You'll notice that in the Abomi Archive, Ostriseis is next to Rhibolt -- my first ever Abomi. I thought it would be a neat nod to put my very first and very last Abomis next to each other to see how my design philosophy has evolved over four years.
Ostriseis may be last, but it's certainly not least! I love this goofy meatball-lookin' bird, and I hope you all look forward to seeing more of it in the future!
Also, Christmas just passed! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday despite all the roadblocks that came up this year.
So what does this mean for the future of these blog posts now that all 100 are revealed? Well, I'll still keep them coming, but they probably won't be weekly any more. I'm going to really buckle down in the new year to get you guys the final version of Abomi Nation as soon as possible. Don't worry, though; there are several new areas, attacks, abilities, game modes, and big features that I've yet to show off. It may seem like the end of an era, but I've still got plenty to talk about.
The full release becomes closer to completion every day. I can't wait to see you all there.
Happy holidays,
Carl
